The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens are the world's highest botanical gardens. The gardens tell the story of stages of Alpine forests from the lowest levels to the highest. There are plant identifier signs as well as additional placards to give facts on the growing conditions. You will be given a map of the gardens and tour at your own pace. The entrance to the gardens is free. You may leave a donation at one of the drop boxes in the gardens.

Vail’s Lionshead Bavarian-inspired village offers many restaurants, cafes and boutique selections. You will have an hour and a half to tour the gardens and two hours to discover and dine in Lionshead Village at your own pace.
